The revamp
of the M62 Memorial
You will see that the new plant pots and plants have now been re-installed and "Anchored" to the base paving. The new plant pots are rather special in as much as the colours match and compliment the other stone work and are of a very high standard. The Block paving that has been laid in front of the Flag Poles will not allow water to lodge in front of the Poles. The water will just simply roll off. I have agreed with Andy that two Picnic Tables can be installed to the rear and to the side of the Memorial Oak Tree which you will see from the photographs is coming on very well indeed. As usual Andy Jagger has been most co-operative and assisted in this event and he and his staff should be given rightful recognition. For anyone that was not aware the original flowerpots,were stolen,and immediatly replaced, with 2 inferior,pots,the next morning, however not many people realized,and we were very gratefull to welcome break for the assistance ,in providing the temp replacments,however 2x new pots with plants with new security devices will be complete next friday-with some extra paving this is wonderful news,and all families have been informed,as many are aware the memorial is now on the tourist ,route for memorial vistors ,and heritage,history students alike welcome break report vistors by the bus load as the daily normal nowadays ,however we thank Life for a life for the contributation,its looking top notch, yes rest assured the tealeafs that extracted the original pots were nabbed less pots probabley sold,immediatly anyway alls well that ends well-thank you |
